When we were contacted by Fortune Technologies to bid on writing hard copy documentation for NAVIS, a software program that receives data captured by optical diagnostic machines, we suggested they also consider integrating performance support tools into the application.
This software is marketed to optometrists throughout the United States and overseas. Since full-time trainers are not feasible for such a geographically-dispersed audience, integrated tools that show how to use the software are an effective way to provide what users need, when they need it, and where they need it.
We developed the performance support tools (including context-sensitive “F1” help for each component of the application), demos, and a user guide. |
